Most of our figures, like many other toddler toys, are made of maple. The colour of this domestic wood is bright and usually shows very little grain, is therefore suitable for the "white" wildlife e.g. Sheep or polar bears also ideal without painting. Ash is the powerful, quirky wood with a rain drawing. It supports the idiosyncratic character of many figures in the design.
